Christopher Ferguson is Associate Professor of History at Auburn University, where he teaches courses in British, European, and World history and the history of material culture. He is the author of An Artisan Intellectual: James Carter and the Rise of Modern Britain, 1792-1853 (2016). He is currently writing a history of responses to urbanization in nineteenth-century Britain.
