Mark Mulligan is a PhD candidate in History at William and Mary. His research focuses on the early modern British Atlantic, colonial New England, the history of religion, and the relationship between religion and geography. His dissertation explores Atlantic cosmologies in seventeenth and eighteenth-century Rhode Island. Mark is also an Irish step dancer and proud bird dad to two budgies.
