Amber Abbas is Associate Professor of History at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia where she teaches courses on World History, South Asia, South Asian America and Oral History Methodology. She is the author of the forthcoming book from I.B. Tauris, Partition’s First Generation: Space, Place and Identity in Muslim South Asia. Amber’s new work focuses on the history of death and dying in Pakistani and Pakistani-American communities and she actively contributes to and collaborates with the South Asian American Digital Archive.
