Ashley Shew is an Assistant Professor at Virginia Tech in the Department of Science, Technology, and Society (STS). She situates her work in philosophy of technology at its intersection with animal studies, disability studies, and emerging technologies. Shew is author of Animal Constructions and Technological Knowledge (2017) and co-editor of Spaces for the Future: A Companion to Philosophy of Technology (2017). She’s current working on narratives about technology and disability.
